Intelligent living defines- A way of living in which people conserve water and energy, even carry out rain-water harvesting and waste management, is a trend that is taking over the real estate market of India. Now eco-friendly residential properties are all over in India that not only minimize the impact on the already degrading environment of the earth, but most importantly, it saves money for a home buyer in the long run.

However, the concept of eco-friendly environment is new in India and making a great murmur in real estate sector. And furthermore, many builders have already started this concept and they are doing so as it has become vital and these builders will even continue to do so and it can be witnessed in the cities like Mumbai, Noida, Pune, Bangalore etc.

VRK Murthy, General manager of a renowned construction company says, “People those who have purchased eco-friendly homes are happy and are enjoying this wonderful ambience with the family. And they they too are contributing back to the earth by not polluting it”.

Rich buyers who look for such place to flaunt their status symbol, such buyers don’t fret about saving and they only want to show off that yes, they are living in an eco-friendly house, which they believe is an elite symbol for them.

Secondly, the one who is very much concern about their savings and they pretty well know initially investment is high, but they will save their money in the long run.

Lastly, there are buyers who genuinely concerned about greenery and they their first and most important step is to make the world eco-friendly forever to live a healthy life.

And however, eco-friendly home will cost around Rs 150-200 per sq more than a regular apartment. The one who understand and gives importance to such concept are more keen to buy such homes for their family.

Even thought the early investment is quite high, such eco-friendly houses cost less in the long run when compared to regular houses. The price appreciation and re-sale value of such houses is high primarily because of its low maintenance cost.

Lastly, the Central and State government also favor this eco-friendly concept. Most of the builder has already started the government norms regarding the usage of material during the construction period.And in Noida, developers get 5 per cent more far for Leed Gold construction.Moreover, Hyderabad and Punjab Electricity department are also concentrating on this green concept.
